GM FB!! I had to take the last 24+ hours to process what happened on Saturday, September 13, 2014. I competed in my 1st FIGURE COMPETITION! I placed 1st in Figure Medium 35-39yrs of age. I entered this event 10 weeks out, most competitors train for 6months +..... I had NO idea the extent of the hard work, discipline, commitment, determination, mind control, will power, perseverance, sacrifice this sport entailed or required. So 1st I salute EVERY competitor for his/her tenacity, it is to be recognized. Im extremely grateful to my 3 peeps for holding me down, dealing with my attitude, changing their eating regimen as well, encouraging me to do the competition when I said I would wait til I turned 40, but truly for just loving me..... I sought out some Great individuals to assist me reaching my dream.... My coach LaTrice Davis (Maryland) who has never seen me face to face, LaDrissa Bonivel Ifbb Pro (#1 Poser) for posing, my Amazing FriendGirls; Kametta Terrell-Clark who gv me her summer, in the gym with me nearly EVERY day, Frances Johnson-smith there pushing, encouraging, praising me, my clients for adjusting their appts to accommodate my training schedule & encouraging me, gym folks for their support, An Awesome MAN that came late in the process but at the PERFECT time w/support, knowledge, advice & genuine kindness Mike Pritchett. THANKU ALL! S/O to every person that didnt agree with my choice, spoke negatively & showed NO support, THANKU! I LOVE you all more than you know. You pushed me more to the stage, bcuz Ive always been defiant when talked against. It helped me to dig deeper everyday with my discipline in weight training, dieting, cardio & everyday choices. FB family I appreciate all the love youve shown me! Ive been crying as I read all of the comments. Never did I imagine I would touch so many. THANKU! I experienced multiple obstacles!
