GO ASK LISA Reader Question; Hi there Lisa, I always love your Facebook posts, at least I think its you posting. Anywho, I hope you are having a grand morning, Ive got my butterfinger cappuccino in hand, well its pretty hot still so its to the side, but I plan on downing it here in a little bit. My question for you this morning is, how did your first pregnancy go? And after your first child, how long did it take you to get pregnant again? I think you have a couple of noodles if I do recall. Anyways, have a good day! Dear DB (First Pregnancy): My first pregnancy was awful! I was so sick the entire time and my body was just not ready for it. I was 17 and although I really wanted to be a mom and have a baby my body thought I was insane and proved it to me at every chance it got. I threw up for about 6 months and every picture I took I looked miserable! My labor was very difficult and it consisted mostly of back labor, that was something that I was not prepared for. I was in labor for 36 hours. I went into labor on my exact due date, it was Thanksgiving. I remember being so very nervous and of course it was very new to me but when it was over, I felt a huge relief and my life all came together. When I brought my daughter home from the hospital I didnt take her out of the car seat for a good hour, I just stared at her and looked at my sister (who brought me home) and said What do I do now? Needless to say, I became a natural real quick. I got pregnant again three months later but due to complications lost that baby. My next full term pregnancy was a born 1.5 years after my first. That pregnancy was a breeze. I was in heaven, never sick and didnt even make it to the hospital soon enough to get an IV or any meds. He was born 15 minutes after getting there. I have 5 biological children, 1 adopted and one step. Full house!
