GOD IS CALLING YOU TO BE A MISSIONARY TODAY! - “PRAYER . . . .IS THE LIFE OF THE SOUL” : 530-881-1400 with access cod of 888-974# Please come and pray with me between 11:00 p.m. AND 1:00 A.M. Eastern time (If you are reading this on WEDNESDAY - come tonight) (10-12 P.M. Central Time) -- ( 9-11:00 p.m. Mountain / Time) and (8-10 P.M. Pacific time) Pray with me for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and I will look for you as an eternal friend in heaven and in the earth made new - many exciting adventures await us when we get to heaven and sit with Christ upon His throne and travel the universe without a rocket ship or space craft. God bless you much! Thank you for coming and if we lose connection please call back and let us know so we can find solutions thanks We should pray in the family circle, and above all WE MUST NOT NEGLECT SECRET PRAYER, FOR THIS IS THE LIFE OF THE SOUL. It is impossible for the soul to flourish while prayer is neglected. Family or public prayer alone is not sufficient. In solitude let the soul be laid open to the inspecting eye of God. Secret prayer is to be heard only by the prayer-hearing God. No curious ear is to receive the burden of such petitions. In secret prayer the soul is free from surrounding influences, free from excitement. Calmly, yet fervently, will it reach out after God. Sweet and abiding will be the influence emanating from Him who seeth in secret, whose ear is open to hear the prayer arising from the heart. By calm, simple faith the soul holds communion with God and gathers to itself rays of divine light to strengthen and sustain it in the conflict with Satan. God is our tower of strength. {Steps to Christ, page 98.} Pray in your closet, and as you go about your daily labor let your heart be often uplifted to God. It was thus that Enoch walked with God. These silent prayers rise like precious incense before the throne of grace. Satan cannot overcome him whose heart is thus stayed upon God. {SC 98.3} . PRAY “IN THE CROWDS OF THE STREET” “CONTINUALLY” There is no time or place in which it is inappropriate to offer up a petition to God. There is nothing that can prevent us from lifting up our hearts in the spirit of earnest prayer. In the crowds of the street, in the midst of a business engagement, we may send up a petition to God and plead for divine guidance, as did Nehemiah when he made his request before King Artaxerxes. A closet of communion may be found wherever we are. We should have the door of the heart open continually and our invitation going up that Jesus may come and abide as a heavenly guest in the soul. {SC 99.1} . “SMALL COMPANIES OF 2 OR 3 OR MORE ARE THE “BASIS” OR FOUNDATION OF CHRISTIAN EFFORT . Pray with persistence (Luke 11:8) pray for yourself, you family and for others - find someone in your church to pray with - even over the phone -- The formation of SMALL COMPANIES as a BASIS OF CHRISTIAN EFFORT has been presented to me by One who cannot, err. If there is a large number in the church, let the members be formed into small companies, to work not only for the church members, but for unbelievers. If in one place there are only two or three who know the truth, let them form themselves into a band of workers. Let them keep their bond of union unbroken, pressing together in love and unity, encouraging one another to advance, each gaining courage and strength from the assistance of the others. Let them reveal Christlike forbearance and patience, speaking no hasty words, using the talent of speech to build one another up in the most holy faith. Let them labor in Christlike love for those outside the fold, forgetting self in their endeavor to help others. As they work and pray in Christ’s name, their numbers will increase; for the Saviour says: “IF TWO OF YOU SHALL AGREE ON EARTH AS TOUCHING ANYTHING THAT THEY SHALL ASK, IT SHALL BE DONE FOR THEM OF MY FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN.” Matthew 18:19. 7 Testimonies, page 21. White whiteestate.org/books/books.asp (1) FAITH AND ACCEPTANCE – Steps to Christ chapter 6 whiteestate.org/books/sc/sc6.html If you believe the promise,--believe that you are forgiven and cleansed,--God supplies the fact; you are made whole, just as Christ gave the paralytic power to walk when the man believed that he was healed. It is so if you believe it. Do not wait to feel that you are made whole, but say, I believe it; it is so, not because I feel it, but because God has promised. Jesus says, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24. There is a condition to this promise--that we pray according to the will of God. But it is the will of God to cleanse us from sin, to make us His children, and to enable us to live a holy life. So we may ask for these blessings, and believe that we receive them, and thank God that we have received them. It is our privilege to go to Jesus and be cleansed, and to stand before the law without shame or remorse. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1. (2) THE CO-WORKING OF THE DIVINE AND THE HUMAN – Ministry of Healing chapter 7 whiteestate.org/books/mh/mh7.html The same power that Christ exercised when He walked visibly among men is in His word. It was by His word that Jesus healed disease and cast out demons; by His word He stilled the sea and raised the dead, and the people bore witness that His word was with power. He spoke the word of God, as He had spoken to all the prophets and teachers of the Old Testament. The whole Bible is a manifestation of Christ. The Scriptures are to be received as Gods word to us, not written merely, but spoken. When the afflicted ones came to Christ, He beheld not only those who asked for help, but all who throughout the ages should come to Him in like need and with like faith. When He said to the paralytic, Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee; when He said to the woman of Capernaum, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, He spoke to other afflicted, sin-burdened ones who should seek His help. Matthew 9:2; Luke 8:48. So with all the promises of Gods word. In them He is speaking to us individually, speaking as directly as if we could listen to His voice. It is in these promises that Christ communicates to us His grace and power. They are leaves from that tree which is for the healing of the nations. Rev. 22:2. Received, assimilated, they are to be the strength of the character, the inspiration and sustenance of the life. Nothing else can have such healing power. Nothing besides can impart the courage and faith which give vital energy to the whole being. (3) FAITH AND PRAYER – Education Chapter 30 whiteestate.org/books/ed/ed30.html How to exercise faith should be made very plain. To every promise of God there are conditions. If we are willing to do His will, all His strength is ours. Whatever gift He promises, is in the promise itself. The seed is the word of God. Luke 8:11. As surely as the oak is in the acorn, so surely is the gift of God in His promise. If we receive the promise, we have the gift. Faith that enables us to receive Gods gifts is itself a gift, of which some measure is imparted to every human being. It grows as exercised in appropriating the word of God. In order to strengthen faith, we must often bring it in contact with the word. In the study of the Bible the student should be led to see the power of Gods word. In the creation, He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. He calleth those things which be not as though they were (Psalm 33:9; Romans 4:17); for when He calls them, they are. How often those who trusted the word of God, though in themselves utterly helpless, have withstood the power of the whole world Only the sense of Gods presence can banish the fear that, for the timid child, would make life a burden. Let him fix in his memory the promise, The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them. Psalm 34:7. Let him read that wonderful story of Elisha in the mountain city, and, between him and the hosts of armed foemen, a mighty encircling band of heavenly angels. Let him read how to Peter, in prison and condemned to death, Gods angel appeared; how, past the armed guards, the massive doors and great iron gateway with their bolts and bars, the angel led Gods servant forth in safety. Let him read of that scene on the sea, when the tempest-tossed soldiers and seamen, worn with labor and watching and long fasting, Paul the prisoner, on his way to trial and execution, spoke those grand words of courage and hope: Be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any mans life among you. . . . For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee. In the faith of this promise Paul assured his companions, There shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you. So it came to pass. Because there was in that ship one man through whom God could work, the whole shipload of heathen soldiers and sailors was preserved. They escaped all safe to land. Acts 27:22-24, 34, 44. These things were not written merely that we might read and wonder, but that the same faith which wrought in Gods servants of old might work in us. In no less marked a manner than He wrought then will He work now wherever there are hearts of faith to be channels of His power. Let the self-distrustful, whose lack of self-reliance leads them to shrink from care and responsibility, be taught reliance upon God. Thus many a one who otherwise would be but a cipher in the world, perhaps only a helpless burden, will be able to say with the apostle Paul, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13. I’ll see you in heaven and in the New Earth as everlasting friends – it will be most exciting and most joyous – no more pain, no more death – we will have a seat upon God’s very throne (Revelation 3:21) We will travel to millions of unfallen worlds (Hebrews 1:2) We will eat from the Tree of life (Revelation 22:2, Genesis 2:9) Walk with Adam and Eve through the “Garden of Eden” in God’s Capital city New Jerusalem 1500 mile long and 1500 mile wide city. (Revelation 21:16). We will build houses, plant crops and enjoy continuing to learn new things everyday (Isaiah 65:21-25) – Every day will be an adventure. . prophecymadeeasy/chapter30.htm “THE ETERNAL CITY” prophecymadeeasy/chapter31.htm “HOME AT LAST” My book “Prophecy Made Easy” in EASY ENGLISH - prophecymadeeasy And The Great Controversy preparingforeternity/gc/gccontents.htm are designed to teach Bible prophecy and furnish light into the future events so that you can operate in this world like a car that uses its headlights on a dark night driving down a dark road so that you can arrive home safely.
