GOD Morning, Dear BeLoved Ones of God, FORGIVENESS EQUALS FREEDOM I Know at times it seems impossible, yet the Greatest Freedom is derived from it! Why? Because when someone has done something to us that requires our forgiveness - at times, we allow it to have a hold on us or a power over us. To forgive literally means to let go of it - like picking up an object and carrying it away and leaving it somewhere else – letting Go!! The difficulty comes because we say, that person doesnt deserve to be forgiven - thats the problem - They Dont!! But when we realize We Are the Ones being Released from the bondage of resentment, bitterness, anger, etc. through UNforgiveness - Then Who Is Forgiveness Really For?! Forgiveness = Freedom!! Gods Word says, Do Not render evil for evil ... But Overcome evil with GOOD ... GOD Is GOOD!!! Remember when Peter had this question about forgiveness? He went to his Teacher, the Lord Jesus Christ, and asked a very honest question ... Lord, how many times do I need to forgive someone, 7 times? (Would that be enough)? Could I Not Have to forgive them after that?!!! And Jesus simply responded ... 70 times 7!!! (I wonder if Peter walked away saying, OK, So that means I need to forgive an individual 490 times) ; ) !!! One more thing ... At times we have difficulty with Forgiveness because its Not of Ourselves, I mean, in our own human strength or ability ... It is From Within Us - The New Creation Life and Spirit and Nature of GOD In CHRIST In US!!! The Greatest example of Forgiveness was cried out from the tree, Father, Forgive them for they know Not what they Do. And You Know, a very Christ-like man filled with that same Love of Christ said the following in Acts 7, 59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. 60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep (he died). Here was a man, complete with the Fullness of God and Christ Living within him, much like You and me ... and as he was being Murdered, he asked for the sin Not to be held against them - thats Forgiveness!! He let the evil in their hearts ... GO! And one of men that was consenting unto his death was a man named Saul! What would have happened if Stephen did NOT Request Forgiveness for this man?! Would that man become the man called the Apostle Paul?! Speaking of Paul, at the end of his earthly ministry, he wrote to his BeLoved Timothy the following words ... II Timothy 4:16 At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge. Thats Forgiveness! As we read these words, we come to the realization, that The Power of Forgiveness is Greater and more Powerful than we Really Know ...!!! And, you know what? Thats OK! Its like that with many of Fathers Truths in His Word and out of His mouth! All we have to do is ... Do what He Says to Do - and HE Brings Great Things to Pass Accordingly ... Thats HIS Nature!!!
