GOD REJOICES OVER US Isaiah 62:5 For as a young man marries a virgin, So shall your sons marry you; And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, So shall your God rejoice over you. If you have ever been to a wedding and noticed the bridegroom’s reaction when he sees his bride enter the church, there is such joy and pride and excitement as he sees her looking the most beautiful she has ever looked. This is what our Lord is like and how joyful He is over His bride, the church. Zephaniah 3:17 (AMP) The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing. Not only does our God rejoice over us, but in His joy, our past sins are forgotten. He sees us as cleansed and pure though the precious blood of Jesus. Therefore, let us also rejoice today with our God and may His joy be our strength!
