GODS CONSUMING FIRE CONSUMTION: the process in which the substance of a thing is completely destroyed, used up, or incorporated or TRANSFORMED into something else. Gods Consuming Fire, there is nothing mysterious about its meaning, it means exactly that, a fire that utterly consumes and or destroys. The ability to be transformed into the image of Christ can be obtained if you are consumed by the Fire which in turn burns off the impurities within oneself, then and only then can you be consumed by the Fire and transformation begins.
