GOING GREEN AT MARMALADE @ BANGSAR SHOPPING VILLAGE 2, KL. Yesterdays threesome lunch was green in deference to Dot who is a sometimes vegan. We were not going downtown because of the jam due to two sinkholes at Imbi Road intersection and the Ramadan rush that unofficially begins at 4pm in case our lunch dragged till tea. So Marmalde at Bangsar Village 2 was a happy compromise. Dot ordered her Avocado Salad, mine was the Egg Benedict called Benny and our third foodie member had his Spicey Chicken Wrap. In the middle we shared the steamed Hoisin Duck Buns which was everyones favourite and happily it came as three separate bite-sized pieces. Taste: 7/10. Tasteful not bland like organic cuisine. Salads are uber! Service: Burmese waiters with fixed smiley faces trying so hard to please. Manglish is better understood. Ambience: Bangsar chic but a tad too blase. Decor was user-friendly if kids were trained pets. Price: Dot paid...sssh! Dont ask...
