GOOD NEWS/BADNEWS: Well, my script JERSEY BLUE didnt make into the finals - sigh. I mean, its still a big accomplishment making into the semi-finals, top 149 out of 7,511, and when you get to that level it really becomes completely subjective and they even told me the script got really high marks from the judges, just not high enough. Oh well. It will still get me lots of attention from industry people and there are plenty of successful writers in Hollywood who never made it past the semi-finals, but....right now I am so discouraged. Everything seems so bumpy and like it almost happens, and then there are set-backs and I know thats that the way it goes, but Im barely holding it together here and my back is killing and my car is falling apart and I wonder how much longer I can keep this all together before it all goes boom. Fortunately I am a trooper and Ill just do what I do best - keep trudging along putting one foot in front of the other. Like Scarlet OHara always says After all - tomorrow IS another day. :)
