GOOD SUCCESS “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua 1:8) The secret of success is not a mystery after all. It consists of taking realistic steps with courage and confidence towards a specific goal. Success is not a game of luck or chance. You can only climb the success ladder by being persuasive and persistent. Pessimistic and passive explorers easily give up the task or pursuit. They are not enthusiastic enough to persevere to the end. The passion needed to boost their enthusiasm and endure the hardship on the way to success is lacking in many students. Faith for success is strengthened by today’s scriptural reference: “.. and then thou shalt have good success.” God assured Joshua of success if he would be strong, courageous, conscientious, and consistent. No man wins a battle he has no courage to fight. Success eludes the fearful and doubtful whose disposition is negative in life’s adventures. You must be like Joshua and develop confidence to pursue. The beautiful thing about it all is that God will stand by you and help you to succeed. What a beautiful partnership! Go for it today. Challenge: Success comes by steadfastness in life’s endeavors. Prayer: Grant me good success, dear Lord, as I study and trust you for excellence.
