GOOD night to u ALL!!! Well this REALLY LONG DAY is ABOUT OVER. :) At least I ended up getting A LOT of stuff done AND was able to HELP the local Church of the Nazarene in Gaston, IN. I slept about 2 hours last night, so I decided to take a quick nap today. As SOON as I FINALLY fell asleep I was woke up by Grandpa Songer saying there was a MAJOR WATER LEAK at the church and he needed me to squeeze under the parsonage and try to find the leak. Needless to say, the craw space is about 8 inches from top to bottom under the parsonage. lol. I ended up digging a trench about 25-30ft, 18 +/- inches Wide, and about 8 or 9 inches deep. That was the ONLY way I was gonna even make it to the area where the leak was suppose to be. lol. After I found the leak I cut the whole mess of pipes out and started over, from where the main water line comes in to the new pex plumbing that was installed last year, about 10 feet. It wasnt that hard of a job, from the plumbing aspect. The hardest thing involved was ALL the digging and NOT having the LAST peace we needed to finish up the job. So we had to make a run to the Hardware store. lol. But when we got back it only took my about 30 minutes to knock it out and to have everything ready for the AWESOME water dept. people to turn it back on. My grandpa Songer has been Rebuilding, Building, Updating, Remodeling, Etc. at the Nazarene Church since the Late 50s or Early 60s. I JUST started HELPING out with the maint. and anything else they need to have done. Im learning what all is involved with the church & the parsonage buildings. It was REALLY COOL spending the day working with Grandpa and I think Im gonna start doing that MORE OFTEN. Working side by side with 1 of the men who inspired me to do so many things MADE MY DAY.. :) We fixed the leak, saved the church some money, and figured out how to fix a couple other problems that we found. So ALL in ALL, it was a great day, even though its been the longest day Ive had in quite some time.lol. It looks like tomorrow well be out in the Shop working, so if your in the area or WANT to be in the area, then hit me up, and swing by to see what ALL we have going on.... Thoughts & Prayers going up for ALL OF YOU & YOURS TONIGHT. I feel very blessed to still have my grandfather in my life and to have such a good & positive relationship with him & grandma Songer. To also be surrounded with people who REALLY CARE about EACH OTHER, and helping others who are going threw a rough time or dealing with their own demons from their past or the past of a loved 1 who spent time in the DARK & LOST. This is the type of person my Grandfather is and I can ONLY dream & wish to end up like that MAN.
