GRAND ENTRY TO BUGUMA CITY FOR JUNU ALALI 2014 Hon. Nimi Walson-Jack and his dear wife Dame Didi Walson-Jack, mni, were special guests of the 2014 edition of Junu Alali of the First Baptist Church of Buguma. Junu Alali, literally transcribed as June Celebration, is an ancient mid-year thanksgiving celebration of the Baptist Church of Buguma City. It has over the years gained fame as a special homecoming of Christians from across Kalabari Kingdom, as well as a unifying force for the people of Buguma City. Hon. Walson-Jack was accompanied by a large delegation of associates, friends and staunch members of Rivers Converge and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State. In his brief remark, as Chairman of the event, he called on all to give thanks to God at all times, as, according to him, no matter how the situation was, it could have been worse. The highpoint of the event was the unveiling of the Junu Alali Cake and charity donations to support the Christian missionary work of the Church.
