GREAT NEWS!! As most of you know, I dont talk about myself too much on here UNLESS it is something spectacular! A lot of you have been asking me the status on a volunteer position I applied for at a pet rescue/shelter in the CRUELTY INVESTIGATIONS DIVISION three months ago. I was in all morning being interviewd and was accepted! It took them a few months to go through all the applications and background check. I will be working with cases of cruelty to animals. This means police, communities, courts and the four legged babies themselves. I will be shadowing another volunteer fo six months and I will need to learn the law dealing with court cases. I also will need to learn rules, regulations and protocol. I am so excited but.... I am also going to be very affected with what I will be dealing with. I have a good idea since I have done this for the last ten years of being activiely involved with rescuing and cruelty issues. I have been rescuing animals about fifty years. {Yes, since I was five years old. In first grade. I brought home my first cat!}. Mom and dad were not too thrilled, lol. I am a crybaby and I hate seeing abuse to children/people and animals so we will also have someone we can talk to if need be. I know where I will be, lol. {Not funny but kinda}. I am excited to start a new path and I cant wait to get to the four legged babies. The investigaor/interviewer asked me why I wanted to work in this particular area of volunteering. Without holding back, I said and I quote, I want to kick some ass! Done deal. MC
