GREAT NEWS from Team Bushido MMA! As you all know we have been working very hard to achieve a great home atmosphere here at Team Bushido MMA. I believe in the past 6 years we have done exactly that. All of our members are close and work with each other as we are a big happy martial arts community! We thank you all for your continued support as we go through changes in locations and continue to search for the best possible dojo for everyone. We have been working with Nick Castiglia and Pat Cooligan of Ottawa Academy of Martial Arts to grow MMA in Ottawa through Heroes Combat League and cross training with our MMA fighters. It has been going well, our teams are getting bigger and reaching their goals with the help of more partners. After several discussions with Nick Castiglia, Matt Haché and Pat Cooligan – we have decided to join together and the St. Laurent location of Team Bushido will soon become the fifth OAMA location – a definite advantage to all of our members. The combination of Team Bushido and OAMA will offer the opportunity for members to train under more diverse black belt instructors, an abundance of training options as well as the chance to train with several professional fighters. We are excited to announce that Team Bushido will be transforming into Ottawa Academy of Martial Arts – East in the near future. Thank you to those that have taken advantage of our blow out sale, your gear and clothing will still be honoured in OAMA-East, you are welcome to wear the Team Bushido apparel. We will also have Renzo Gracie products available for sale as well. An additional benefit to all new members and resigning members is the lower cost of membership with access to training in 5 schools. Members will also benefit from the OAMA open door policy in New York City’s Renzo Gracie school. Unity, in MMA is what Team Bushido and OAMA have been striving for. We are working to secure a new gym space – once the location is official, we will be announcing the location and the grand opening date. The new location will offer large mat space, change rooms and showers as before and more. We look forward to sharing the news of our grand opening open house – you won’t want to miss it!
