GREAT TOPIC! Dear Zane and readers , I have recently reach out to you all for advice before on eating healthy . I have received some great advice . The youtube videos and suggestions was so helpful. The hardest thing that I had to do in my life is try to get this wait off .Sometimes its so hard to the point where I wanna give up. I have recently tried changing my eating habits such as eating fruits and vegetables through out the day . Drinking water tea or the low fat crystal light in the packages. Most of the time I will cook baked chicken or tilapia for dinner with a side of veggie s and baked potato . I will go walking for thirty minutes maybe once out of a week . I do exercise videos from youtube like zumba and dance workouts. Each I time I eat something I check the labels to see how many calories it contains carbs sodium and sugar. But its so hard. I have a big appetite and I get hungry throughout the day. My question to you guys is what kind of foods and snacks do you all consider healthy what foods do you substitute different cravings that you may have or to satisfy your hunger . HELP PLEASE MY RESPONSE: I am glad you are doing all of that and keep up the good work. Rome was not built in a day. I am sure that people will have a lot of suggestions but my suggestion is that you try different healthy snacks until you find the ones that appeal to your taste. That is how I discovered healthy snacks that I like. Yogurt is good for you. I am about to eat some right now for a snack and there are tons of different kinds. I eat a lot of the oat and honey bars, and keep one or two in my purse so I do not wild out and eat something on the fly that is more convenient. Also, I go to a lot of smaller, organic markets and try out different snacks. Lately, I have been eating these pita chips that are gingerbread flavor. Keep drinking water throughout the day and before and during meals and that will curb your appetite. I think you need to find what you like because if you just try to eat what others suggest and none of it appeals to you, it is fighting a losing battle. I do not like hummus but my friends adore it. Not my thing. Experiment and also, when you go shopping, stock up on low calorie frozen meals when they are on sale. Do not pay full price. At least one chain always has something on sale each week and there are probably coupons in the Sunday paper as well. Lastly, I would lay off eating potatoes every day. Some days substitute it with a second vegetable. Good luck.
