GREEKS... Reminds of the Easter Sunday when my family hosted a large gathering of folks which included the Priest and a huge mega-aegument broke out of whose village grew the best olives.. and this was before the coffee, the dessert, and the ouzo.( Actually, it started when the husband of the Greek school teacher took issue with the Priests opinion. ) The House at 5 Elliott Street -- which Angie affectionally referred to as the headquarters of Screwballs, Inc. -- would never be confusd with the uptight whites of Downton Abbey... And, speaking of screwballs, the ice cream trucks playlist as it came and went wityjom earshot: DONT FENCE ME IN, DECK THE HALLS, YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE, WE WISH YOU A MERRY XMAS, ODE TO JOY, O HOLY NIGHT, THEME FROM SWAN LAKE ( my fave )... Six months to Xmas... one of these days, I gotta meet this person. Heck, maybe we will talk about olives.
