GREENERY Greenery is beautiful. It pleases the eye. I wonder why. What if greenery was blue in colour, would we still say - Hey ! Have a look at this beautiful blueery!!!. Is greenery pleasing because it is green ? Or have our minds been programmed in such a way that whenever we see greenery, we are supposed to feel good, refreshed, and admire it ? These answers may not mean much. But from my personal point of view, greenery is one of the most pleasant things to see. When I see plants in houses, I feel energised. When I see trees on the streets, it feels lovely. When I see lush green fields on a long drive round the countryside, I feel fresh. When one sees the shining green forests from an airplane, one feels happy. Indeed that is the magic of greenery. It has that effect on man. Man feels an immediate, positive association with greenery.
