GRIMM RESIGNS FROM CONGRESS! UNQUALIFIED WANNABES: DEBI ROSE, MATTHEW TITONE ANd DOMENIC RECCHIA. Dec. 30, 2014 (My) congressman, Republican Michael Grimm, has announced his resignation from Congress following his decision to plead guilty to tax evasion and related matters. Some years ago when Mr. Grimm became the focus of reported illegal campaign contributions involving Orthodox rabbis, NYC Councilmember Debi Rose (D.-S.I.) opportunistically told S.I. Advance reporter Tom Wrobleski - who has a history of both protecting and promoting corrupt and entrenched politicians of both major parties - that she was considering running for Congress. Wrobleski followed up with a front page story in the Advance with a World War III-sized headline reporting that Ms. Rose was mulling a race of for Congress. Because Ms. Rose - whom I (as it turns out mistakenly) supported when she ran for the NYC Council - has emerged as as negligent and corrupt Machine pol and because her closest political advisor, David Jones, is not only an Israel basher but also a virulent and explosive anti-Semite, I wrote an article in my UP FRONT News stating that is Rose runs for congress, so will I. With Grimms resignation, the machine Dems in the 11th congressional district are smelling blood. Among the machine Dems from State Island who are unqualified to be members of Congress are Ms. Rose and NYS Assemblymember Matthew Titone, whom Ive labeled as The worst state legislator in what has been rated by the NYU Brennan Institute of Justice as The worst state legislature in the country. NYS Senator Diane Savino has a generally progressive legislative record but, as long as she keeps the violent and apparently psychiatrically impaired Robert Cataldo as her Chief Of Staff, she remains unqualified for higher office. And ex-NYC Councilmember Domenic Recchia, exposed in the Daily News and in UP FRONT News as engaging in favoritism for the mob and compiling a terrible record on human rights issues while in the Council and who was trounced by Grimm in the last election, is also unqualified. for the Tom Weiss - Publisher, UP FRONT News
