GROUP 3 ANNOUNCE A RECORD GROUP 3 GRAND FINAL A record crowd was in attendance at the Lank Bain Sporting Complex, Wauchope today for the 2014 Grand Final. The gate takings totalled: $22,000. I have never seen that many cars parked on the junior league fields before, the biggest crowd I personally have witnessed at the Wauchope Footy Ground and it could have held more. Congratulations to so many: Wauchope Blues RLFC led by President Steve Bailey and his team, the field was the best, equivalent to the NRL I reckon only better, very well catered for, Group 3 administration as the day ran like clockwork, very well run, ALL the clubs that participated, commiserations to the losers and congratulations to the winners, 4 different clubs across the grades and all close games AND most importantly I want to thank the fans that came out to the footy today and made this the record that it was and well behaved too. Rugby League was certainly the winner today, alive and well on our part of the Mid North Coast.
