GUYS, according to npr, more than 10 000+ people have died in the philippines as a result of the storm. this breaks my heart especially after receiving an amazing letter from my friend, mexican actress nathalia acevedo (from post tenebras lux) just a few days before the storm. nath spent a month in the philippines and heres what she wrote me abt her trip: Its crazy because nothing make sense. imagine you put all the cultures and religions in a blender and it explodes on the sea. and then you have the philippines. the most interesting cultural fusion that I have experienced. It was a spanish colony for more than 300 years. then the japanese came, and then the americans. its so poor but you dont feel the misery because everyone is always laughing and having fun. in the beginning I was feeling a stupid kind of compassion that turned into feeling compassion for myself. then I learned something important... in asia to have compassion means to share a feeling with someone, to laugh with the one that laughs and to cry with the one that cries. nath this is beautiful...making me feel for a place i have never been to. ---- PLEASE DONATE ---- 5 USD = 220
