GVFD Update: You know I see a lot of hard feelins only getting worse her in out little unincorporated 85 natural square miles of Golden Valley heaven. I have not yet met one person in G.V. who wants incporporation but the GVFD scandal runs that deep. There has not been one official in Mohave County to endorse the people in their attempt to safeguard their most precious and appreciated Fire District. Not even District 4 Supervisor Jean Bishop. Oh I am hearing alot of complaints calling our citizen group malcontents. That is the nicest thingt hey have to say , but my concern remains myopically focused on more prudent, cautious and transparent mangemment from the District. Ok here is one of my concerns. The loyasts used the fire district name and the chief to finance a politically dirty campaign . I was there on election day and heard what was being said to voters trying to pass through the gate at the election center ( of all places on the fire district property as well.) Take a look at the picture . Look closely, as a Supervisor stood near by. When voters approched the entrance to vote, they were sort of ambushed and cornered by the opposition group. The voters were told direct lies and handed a small cheat sheet for voting. When I approched to interject my point of view I was chased away with a scream of we are not hear to argue. So trying to play it fair and not wanting to upset any voter, I stood by and watched the charade and the lies all day.
