Gabestradamus Prediction: CBS will announce in 2015 that Bad Robot has finally lifted the embargo to develop a Trek series. It will debut September 2016. Bad Robot will insist, to avoid brand confusion that it takes place in the JJVerse. The premise will be the most predictable, most obvious, safest choice they could possibly make: A re-imagining of Star Trek: The Next Generation set nearly a century after the Abrams films. The un-originality of it will IMMEDIATELY infuriate... well pretty much everybody in fandom with a computer and fingers that can type pissed off things, but with the right writers, producers, art department, and cast (which is anybodys guess if wed get), theres a possibility that a good series can be made from an idea this unoriginal. Mark my words: A reboot-verse re-imagining of TNG will be announced for a fall 2016 debut. You heard it here first. If I am wrong, I owe you all blowjobs.
