Gadkari and his e-rickshaws. Alarmed at the growth of an unregulated public transport system which required no registration, no number plate and no licensing Sheila Dixit banned these ricks in August 2013. Manufacturers were left with inventories. Within a month of taking office Gadkari overturned the ban in a haste that surprised us all. He did so with full knowledge that sooner or later this would go to court and his reversal of the ban could be reversed. My question: Since Gadkaris family owns a plant making these machines, I want to know how much of the inventory did his factory manage to sell after he removed the ban. If I am wrong in any assumption I will formally apologize but this needs investigation.
