Galatians 6:17 “From now on let no one trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.” Paul had cheerfully suffered persecution for the sake of Christ and Christianity. It was the cross of Christ, or the doctrine of salvation by a crucified Redeemer, that he gloried in. It was this cross that he had been willing to endure all hazards he has faced, rather than betray this truth, or suffer it to be corrupted. The false teachers were afraid of persecution, and wanted to be seen as somebody by men. He was never concerned about the opinion of men. But this was the least of Paul’s concern. Moreover; he was not moved at any of the afflictions he met with, nor did he count his life dear to him, so that he might finish his course with joy, and the ministry which he had received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God (Acts 20:24). Prayer: Dear God, help me to develop the mind set of Paul, so that I am only consumed by who I am in You alone. In Jesus Name. Amen
