Galen David and I are feeling such gratitude to the community of friends and family that celebrated with us this weekend. We simply could not have had the beautiful event that we did without the love, time, support and many talents of so many of you! A great big hug and high five to Shireen Ghorbani for her laughter, loving insight, get it attitude, and no nonsense organizational skills. Tobin Shelton for his brotherly presence and enthusiastic spirit. Casey John Opstad, our Minister, for his sincerity, humor, friendship and memorable rental car. Jess Slade for her brightness and artistry (a maker of signs!) Joe Vetter for his cool headed direction and poise. Nick Steffens for ice acquisition and for getting on a plane. For the beautiful homeade pies that people are STILL raving about Sarah Baumert, Lizbeth Wawrzonek, Jamie Ryan-Karels, Nora Jenneman, Maggie Bergeron, Leslie ONeill, Lena Beste, Eva Mohn, Linnea Dale Mohn, Andrea Zimmerman, Max Wirsing, Sam Johnson, Jeffrey Wells, Olive Bieringa. Jeffrey Wells, Sam Johnson and Rachel Jendrzejewski for a crucial and brilliant reading. And to Jeffrey and Sam for teaching me their dance and killing it on the dance floor. My mom for the Kuchen, and of course, Lucias for crostada and chocolate cake! Flowers that were to die for by Ginger Hansen Shafer. My favorite cousin and his spirited jug/polka band crew, Chuck Terhark. For her incredible dj/music/tech coordination and loving encouragement, Lizbeth Wawrzonek.
