Gallery member Dorothy Amore Pilla is in several shows over the next few months, hope you can get to one or all: her composite digital image, Curious, has been accepted to the 14th National Prize Show at the Cambridge Art Association, Cambridge, MA. Curious was awarded the Photography Prize. Dates: May 13th - June 26; Opening Reception: May 16, 6:00-8:00 PM From nearly 1,200 pieces submitted to the CAA show by 383 artists from 30 states, the juror Dr. James Welu, Director Emeritus, Worcester Art Museum, selected 82 works representing a range of media. Included in the acceptances are one prize in each of the following categories Best in Show, Mixed Media, Photography, Painting, Sculpture/3D, and Works on Paper. Currently she has a Faculty Feature Show up at the South Shore Art Center in Cohasset, MA consisting of 13 pieces. Dates: March 28 - May 20, 2014. Her composite digital image, Winters Shawl, was accepted into The Fine Art of Photography Show at the Plymouth Art Center in Plymouth, MA. I received and Honorable Mention for the piece.
