Game Recap: The D5 ASA Tigers played the ASA Warriors on Saturady and started their 2014 season without missing a beat. Alex Price scored on the 2nd play from scrimmage with a 30 yard run, which followed his 30 yard kickoff return. This was followed closely by a punt return from Tre Carter and an interception return by JD LeGardye, all in 3 series and having the offense on the field for only 2 plays! Not too shabby. The offensive onslaught continued with passing touchdowns to Tre Carter, JD LeGardye and Will Branum from quarterbacks Philip Joest and Nicholas Mesquita. The Tigers scored 6 touchdowns and converted 4 two point conversions on the day. The best everyone can recall is that the Warriors scored 1 first down on offense. Overall, the Warriors offense netted negative yards - it was an awesome Tigers TEAM effort. However, I want to give credit to the Warriors - they never gave up and played tough to the final whistle. Their coaches were full of class and did a great job keeping their boys focused on fighting. My hat is off to a classy group. Next up...the Fairview Bulls on Sept. 13 at noon at Curtis Middle School. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!
