General Motors is experiencing the largest safety crisis in its history covering nearly 29 million vehicles! August 7, 2014 – As Reported by USA Today, GM issues the 3rd recall on SUVs that can catch fire! Recall covers 189,000 vehicles in North America. The recall is so serious that GM is telling customers to park their SUVs outdoors until they are repaired andparts will not be ready until at the earliest October. June 17, 2014 – As Reported by Time, GM Recalls 3.4 Million more cars for ignition problems. March 13, 2014 – The Center for Auto Safety released a study revealing more than 300 deaths in accidents where GM airbags failed in the recalled car models! GGM has been fined $35 Million by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for lapses in reporting the ignition switch problems which resulted in at least 13 deaths already. According to Forbes GM’s decision not to create a new part number caused years of delay in tracing a defect on nearly 2.6 million Chevrolet Cobalt, Saturn Ion and other Saturn and Pontiac models. The cars’ ignitions could slip out of position cutting power to the vehicle.
