Gentleman Jinx had to visit the vet last night. We noticed some - TopicsExpress

Gentleman Jinx had to visit the vet last night. We noticed some unusual behaviour that indicated he might have an infection of his (ahem) plumbing. It wasnt easy getting him into the carrier––the Gent does not like to be picked up and hes still mad at me for having the effrontery to lift him off the back of the television, which is supposed to be His Place. Chris took him to the vet, who confirmed our diagnosis and treated him. The Gent is allergic to flea bites but, because of his pre-existing condition (feline AIDS, for those who came in late), a lot of remedies are contra-indicated. But the vet fitted him with a collar which, to our surprise, he has accepted with no fuss. (My one and only attempt to put a collar on Miss Kitty Calgary nearly resulted in total destruction of the house. I dont want to talk about it.) So hes home, on a diet of wet food for two weeks and already improving. Hes still pretty pissed off with me, though. Right now, hes curled up on several of my notebooks (the paper kind) with his back turned.
