Germany national team coach, Joachim Low, has announced his preliminary squad for the World Cup in Brazil on Thursday. Unlike Luis Felipe Scolari, who decided already on his 23 players for Brazil, Low decided to name 30 for his preliminary World Cup squad. Of the 30 players Low will recruit his final 23, who he has to announce on June 02. After two consecutive third places and finishing runners-up in 2002, Germany are one of the strong favourites to win the World Cup in Brazil and clinch their fourth overall title. However, many players of Low’s ‘golden generation’ have been struggling with injuries throughout the season and the national team coach wants to take a closer look at his squad during their pre-tournament camp. Germany are drawn in Group G with Portugal, Ghana and the United States. The full squad: Goalkeepers: Manuel Neuer, Roman Weidenfeller, Ron-Robert Zieler Defenders: Mats Hummels, Jerome Boateng, Eric Durm, Kevin Grosskreutz, Benedikt Howedes, Marcel Jansen, Philipp Lahm, Per Merstesacker, Shkodran Mustafi, Marcel Schmelzer Midfielders: Sami Khedira, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Lars Bender, Julian Draxler, Mario Gotze, Leon Goretzka, Andre Hahn, Toni Kroos, Max Meyer, Thomas Muller, Mesut Ozil, Lukas Podolski, Marco Reus, Andre Schurrle, Matthias Ginter Attackers: Miroslav Klose, Kevin Volland Do you believe this Germany squad is strong enough to win the title in Brazil?
