Geronimo was the last great warrior of Indian history. A staunch - TopicsExpress

Geronimo was the last great warrior of Indian history. A staunch defender of the rights of his people, stood until its last legs against greed, misunderstanding and violence of the white man. Not even a military force of five thousand men under the command of the famous General Miles was able to get the better of his band of warriors sixteen, fourteen women and six children. Only deception, agreements and promised never kept, defeated Geronimo. He lived locked up in prison camps for more than twenty years, wandering between Florida, Alabama and Oklahoma. Geronimo was a man with a large magnetic charge and prodigious diviner: despite never having held the position of head of the tribe, he was the undisputed leader. Skilled warrior, ruthless in battle, inflexible in his opinions and implacable in his hatred, he was always basically honest and deeply religious.
