Gerrianne Hutfles Bray I picked up 3 cast iron skillets free, from a garage sale. All 3 were coated with years of grease and crap. I used a knife and scraped what I could off of them, then I put them upside down on a rack in my self-cleaning oven. Turned the oven on to clean, and the skillets came out looking brand new. You can even read the maker, size, and city they were made in. I love my cast iron.
