Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:31 Paul lists five specific attitudes or behaviors that we should get rid of, concluding with a blanket statement about every form of malice. This short list of wrongs can help us see ourselves more clearly. They challenge us to look inwardly to see how much like Christ we are living. Perhaps we should take the list of wrongs in this verse and use them as a magnifying glass to examine our life. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you things you need to see. If you recognize one of these shortcomings in yourself, take time to confess it to the Lord and seek forgiveness. Then, ask the Lord if there is anything you need to do differently or any amends you need to make. Blessings PJ
