Get to The Point. Come to Rosses Point, Sligo next Sunday, 10th Aug, 11am and show your abhorrence at the murder of Palestinian men, women and children by Israel. Help create an imagine representing the number of Palestinian children being slaughtered in Gaza. (please share) My name is Brian Farrell, Im a freelance photojournalist and next Sunday (10th Aug) I hope to photograph over 300 children on the beautiful beach at Rosses Point, Co Sligo, in an effort to highlight the slaughter which is taking place daily and unchecked in Gaza and I need your help. I need you to turn up, with your children and your neighbours children. And your brothers children and sisters children and your childrens children because its an awful lot of children that are being slaughtered. Not 10s or 20s but hundreds upon hundreds in a matter of a few weeks. And its not stopping. Getting 300 PLUS children together at Rosses Point is a challenge but hopefully the image we create will help illustrate the scale of the monstrous mass murder taking place. And if you cant turn up, and I know there will be many who really want to but wont be able to, please share this and encourage others to take your place. After the photographs are taken ( which should take less an hour), I will immediately release it to all national daily newspapers, Sligos newspapers, selected international newspapers and news agencies, for them to use free of charge. On Wed. 16th July four children, playing on a beach in Gaza, were targeted and killed by the Israeli air strikes. It was a horrendous act that might have caused any other power to question its action. It was a horrendous act which should have caused every other government and especially Israels powerful allies to insist on an immediate end to the slaughter in Gaza. Neither happened and the annihilation of Palestinians in Gaza continues. Some of our most wonderful childhood memories are of playing on the beach. One of our most precious moments as parents is watching our own children playing on the beach. The targeting and murder of these children on June 16th epitomizes the Israeli governments complete contempt for the people of Gaza. At this moment over 1,700 people have been killed by Israeli forces. Over 300 were children and by the time you read this the figures will have risen. There will be no speeches at Rosses Point, no party political broadcasting, the sole purpose of the gathering is to create an image to spread the word. I am not a member of any political party or pressure group . Im not even a member of the Credit Union ! So lets Get To The Point and oppose the annihilation of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
