Getting older is remarkable! Some days it is awful and some days it is a beautiful and rewarding time! This morning while trying on my costume for Friday night I saw a young body with an OLD face, it actually reminded me of my Grandmother and my mother when they were MUCH older... So I got out my magnifying mirror and went after the strays! ;) Then I pulled out make-up that hasnt been used for YEARS and I applied it in the same magnifying mirror and I plucked and lined and well, I tried harder than I ever do. I thank GOD that my husband who is much younger than I am, still has eyes of love...and that love is blind. The first pic I was 3o years old and the second one I am almost 60. I have been through much that would line the face and weary the eye. I am trying to be thankful for the life that I am still here for. After 2 bouts with cancer, 4 pesticide/herbicide poisonings, 7 car accidents, struck by lightening, the loss of a child, the loss of homes because of the Pesticides, surviving a septic infection, a brown recluse spider bite, and the death of my Mom, Brother, Grandparents, BF Tom, two kiddos that I loved and more stress than most people will ever know (In the past year) I look truthfully ok today. I need to judge myself by GOds love not the lineless beauty the world requires for an aging woman. Any of you have pics of you 30 years ago and today? Do share your story with me.
