Getting ready for a 4th of July BBQ? - Grass fed beef is nutritionally superior to grain fed beef -Look for organic, free range, pastured animals fed a natural diet of grasses instead of grains. -Most grocery stores today carry feedlot-raised meat (grain fed). :-( -"Due to the small and tight living environment these animals also gain excess fat and end up with high saturated fats. Worse, to make them grow faster and prevent them from getting sick, they are also injected with hormones and fed with antibiotics. The result is one piece of meat which you and I shouldn’t be eating." (source- the conscious life) -READ labels it should clearly state "grass-fed beef" or pastured.
