Getting your account settled! Matthew 18:21-35 so my heavenly Father will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses. The binding power of unforgiveness is potentially dangerous to any of us. Exonerate, pardon, excuse, forgive and forget. Look at the word forget: not remember, not recall, fail to remember, stop thinking about, put out of your, mind put behind you. Mark 11:25 and wherever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him that your father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. • Mathew 6:15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses • Luke 17:3 Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. • Luke 17:4 And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, I repent, you shall forgive him. • 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we want to make it in this world and the world to come we better learn to forgive each and stop talking about one another as though we are God and that we know what is best. Well I have great news for you are not God! you never will be God…… you are not another man’s judge and if anyone one seems to think that even in his actions and words, then he or she is in danger of not being forgiven by God. We cannot play God and judge and we cannot condemn our brothers and sister in Christ, who have made a mistake and expect to receive forgiveness from God for ourselves. The word that God speaks is very clear on this subject and we need to get our own account settled before we go meddling in someone else. In Galatians 6: 1-5 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing he deceives himself. But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For each one shall bear his own load. Stop playing God and start forgiving like God forgives and that is as though it never happened, Instead of condemning we need pardon when we are in a trespass and have ask God to forgive us. We need to be about our Fathers business instead we are too busy in someone else’s business. We need to have the mind of Christ and we need to put things out of our mind, put it behind you and go on. Stop the gossip and the rumors about your sister and brothers in Christ and let your words be few and guard heart and your tongue. The word forgets means that God does not remember your sins and if we do sin and if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleans us from all unrighteousness. So many Christians have been hurt by others, who will not forgive, and it has caused many people to leave the church with bitterness and they probably will never return. I was going to a church and some would leave the church for various reasons and I would hear the Pastor say well bless God, He is weeding them out and He will send some more in. Jesus is the good shepherd and if 1 out of 100 leaves he will leave the 99 and go after the one. With God there are second chances and third chances and so on!!!!!!!!!
