Ghost Story To start out I want it known that I don’t have any - TopicsExpress

Ghost Story To start out I want it known that I don’t have any beliefs about spirits, ghost and such. I do believe that the mind, being the machine it is, does produce sensations of experiences that aren’t real but are indistinguishable from reality in the moment they are occurring. Because I’ve lately had some of these “unreal” experiences of intensity never before experienced I thought I’d plop them down on FaceBook to find what feedback is produced. Within the past several months I’ve awaken in the night seeing a figure standing near my bed. In the dark it is a only a silhouette too dark to have discernible facial features, but it is obviously male of gender, probably about 6’4” and of solid build. My reaction to it on each of the three times it has appeared has been one of instinctive aggressiveness – much like a cornered animal. The first appearance it was standing right up against my bed about even with my right hip. My animal reaction was so swift that it seems impossible to voluntarily repeat -- a karate kick leading with the heel of my right foot up high at where would be its solar plexus. Nothing but air of course, it was gone. The next time, less than two weeks ago, it was standing maybe a foot from the right side of my bed at about where my knees were. Again, my reaction was so fast and immediate I stood back dazed afterward, disbelieving I could have moved so fast. I had sprung from my bed in a lunge at the figure attempting to compress its rib cage in a bear hug to take it to the floor. Of course, my arms wrapped across themselves, clasping nothing except enfolding my own chest. The third appearance was night before last, it appeared this time to the left of my bed, beyond the foot by about a foot distance. Again my reaction was the instinctual attack mode, and again so swiftly as to make me wonder how I could have executed the move. Had the figure been real I would have slammed it against the wall, this time hitting it again at about solar plexus height with my shoulder, my arms wrapping around it. Instead, I hit the wall, leaving a mark. Let’s have you thoughts.
