Gifted this quilt to 1 year old Kaitlin yesterday. This is an embellished 1,600 inch strip quilt that I cut in half to make two baby quilts. I machine applique/embroidered her name using different colors of minky. Used the same technique for the two puppydogs using flannel and warm and natural, and used cotton for the bone. I added a flange and used rickrack instead of binding. My goal was to use different textures within the quilt.
