Gilmore Family Update: Rachel is home from the Hospital and recovering nicely from her various maladies. She was diagnosed with Pneumonia a week ago and has been a champ about resting and getting over it. Hannah is doing great. She got pulled off of her CPAP today, so shes starting to look more like a little girl and less like a robot. She has also gained almost a full pound since birth two weeks ago. Weve been holding her all week and singing her love songs, and are growing quite fond of her. Shes ok. She can stay around for awhile, just fine with me. I am sitting in the Library buried in a pile of work and bills, trying to dig my way out as I have been for the last 7 hours, and our favorite Dvorak movement came onto my Mahler Pandora playlist, and I took it as a message to stop working so hard and go visit my daughter. So.... Off to the hospital we go! No falling asleep at the wheel!!!!! =) A huge Thank You to Christine Strandt and Marcia McFarlane for their immense amount of help over the last couple of weeks, as well as the rest of you who have shared your inspiring stories and touching well wishes with us via Facebook or Phone Calls. Whether you believe in the Theological aspects of prayer or not, it is impossible to deny the healing power of knowing that you are in the hearts and minds of so many loving people.
