Glad I have had the opportunity to see most of these sites... but devastated by the immense destruction of history in such a short period of time. Krac De Chevalier castle withstood countless attacks since the 12th Century... weaponry is now so advanced so much that we can destroy history in a few minutes? Joining Krac De Chevalier on this list is an excess of places in Syria as well as sites in Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, and other places where western involvement / interference is justified by.... ummmm. Oh yes - our respect for culture and history which makes us far superior.
