Glad I no longer live in Melbourne - every second day there are stories about abuse and violence on public transport. So here is a story for you about my experience on publix transport while I lived there : Story 1 - when I get too hot I faint, so I passed out on the train slumped over my suitcase (was on my way back from tassie) - 1 person helped me others just ignored me Story 2 - I was comming back from the city at about midnigjt and as I got off at my station a fight broken outt right in front of me, someone was trying to smash a bottle over a guys head etc, and no one did anything except for me, I yelled at them, and threatend to call the cops, then they wouldnt stop until I had rang the cops....I then got dragged down to the police station for 4 hours and the kid who started the fight wasnt even charged as he was underage And that explains why I very rarely caught public transport and always hire a car when I go back
