Go into the city and a man will meet you, carrying a jar of water. Follow him. -Mark 14:13 Blind trust. My son and I were at our bookstore late one night, and as we left the parking lot, a young boy running down the street stopped at the car and asked me to roll down the window, I can hear you just fine. I dont want money. Okay. I missed my bus and need a ride. He was wearing a Wendys uniform, so I asked my son and he agreed to let him in the car. What a great kid! He and my son talked the entire ride between him saying turn here, turn there, a little farther, and thank you. I wasnt sure who was more trusting and who was leading who, but he led and I followed and together we got him to the next bus ride toward home. Just to note, my son and I did have the discussion about not picking up strangers. Jesus speaks to us about an encounter. He instructs us. We are to meet someone, and during a normal day this could be possible. We may lead or we may follow, but most importantly we are to go and we are to have an encounter. The man we follow will certainly be Jesus. Encounter Jesus. -Jesus at My Side: 365 Reflections on His Words by Julie Dortch Cragon
