God Thought: March 26 - For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him. —Philippians 1:29 Ouch! As a Christian we are also called to suffer for the cause of the Kingdom. In this context, however, the use of the word does not imply sickness but persecution. We are in the midst of the church age where true believers will be persecuted for their faith in Christ. Nevertheless, we can not waiver, but count it as joy. But also remember the difference between joy and happiness. Happiness ebbs and flows based on the circumstances whereas joy never wanes. Joy is the internal quality on knowing who is in control! Believe on Him and be prepared to be ridiculed and persecuted. Count it as joy that your name is in His Book of Life! #fearnot2014
