God as a good Father desires to teach His children Love. Everything within our day is an opportunity to learn from God and emulate His love in all circumstances. For as God forgives, as God loves, as God has mercy, as God has patience with us is to teach us what His children are to be. Love... Unconditional ambassadors of love. Thus God demonstrates [modeling] to us this truth, this goodness, this great love. His goodness towards us so that we may be imitators of God as in Ephesians 5:1 and walk in truth. To walk in Love. His Love for all people... As God calls us to.... For just as God has taught us how to love in 1 John 4 He now teaches all things as children of God. For He first loved us so we could learn to love Him. So we can learn to love each other. For we would not know love if God did not teach us love Himself! For God so loved the world He sent us His only begotten Son Jesus to teach us love in Word. In deed. And setting the ultimate example by laying His life down on a cross and dying so we could live. Laying His life down from love for us existing from before creation. Thus no greater love has one for another than to lay down his life for his friends as Jesus tells us in John 15. I John 4:19 NKJV We love Him because He first loved us. John 15:9-17 NKJV As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another. Even if we operate in the gifts God gives us and move in His Spirit but do not have the relationship with the One who gives all gifts, if we do not have love for God but desire what He has without loving Him we have nothing! Paul talks about this in Corinthians 13... I Corinthians 13:1-8, 13 NKJV Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ WE ARE EITHER SONS OF OBEDIENCE [LOVE], OR SONS OF DISOBEDIENCE [LAWLESNESS]. Matthew 5:38-48 NKJV “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away. “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. God demonstrates to us all this, reveals to us all this about love so we can be rooted and grounded in love. Teaching us to be rooted and grounded in love Himself, God. For this we are created and called as children of God. Created and taught by God for God... To Love above all... Ephesians 3:14-21 NKJV For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. For we are born of God [Love] Himself for what an honor it is that we should be called children of Love [God]... John 1:10-13 NKJV He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
