God continually calls us to pray without ceasing, pray continually, and ask, seek, knock; but more often than not, we ignore or doubt those calls. We underestimate the power of prayer, and ultimately underestimate the power of God. John 15:7 tells us: If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Philippians 4:6 says: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Mark 11:24 reassures us: Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And again in James 5:16: Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
