God does not wear a watch ! As most of you know , the last few weeks have been so frustrating for me. Although I am fighting cancer it has been things totally unrelated to Cancer that have kept me from doing so many things important to me. Enrollment of people in the ACA , fighting for medicaid expansion and many other things of family and personal interest. Tonight as I did my meditation and breathing exercise, I had the vision of myself in the middle of the ocean drowning, and as I suppose all people do when they drown , I was kicking and flailing my arms and screaming. As I finally gave up the struggle and my head fell back, I saw the most amazing thing in the sky above , birds. My mind told me you must not be in the middle of the ocean, those are land birds, I gotta be close to land. And as I became still from exhaustion I felt my body begin to float in water, and the water was warm, not like the cold dark middle of the ocean. Letting my body float I now felt myself being moved along by the tide or the current, closer to land because more and more birds filled the sky. Suddenly I felt something bump the right side of my body,, and before I could turn my head to look, a bump on the left. Two Dolphins were guiding me in the middle of the current. As has always been my human instinct I begin to wonder , how long have I been out here and how long before I reach shore. The reality that I was not in control began too set in, and I was here because Karma or God or whatever you believe in has put me here for a reason...... And if I will just relax and sleep in the knowledge I am not in control and do not need too be, when I awake I will be placed ashore in the right place for me , rested and with the strength I need to do what i was called to do. God does not wear watch, but the sun rises on time and the tide is always on time, we have no control over the rhythm of life. Lefty Orear
