God doesnt put us in the wilderness to destroy us but to develop us. Michael Catt The wilderness is a barren place. Life in the wilderness is not fun. However, sometimes the wilderness is exactly where God leads us to develop our character and test our commitment. Being faithful to follow God in the wilderness is not easy. We tend to want mountain top experiences - not wilderness experiences. If you are in the wilderness it is not a time to complain or moan about how difficult it is. This is a time to humbly surrender yourself to God and let God lead you through the wilderness. God does deep work in the wilderness.
