God has created us all and to this point God is father of all - TopicsExpress

God has created us all and to this point God is father of all things. However, God has a special relationship with those who have been chosen to follow Jesus. Those that have made a decision for Jesus as their Lord and Savior have God not only as their creative father, but as their Heavenly and Spiritual Father. We’ve been adopted into the house of God, the family of the Most High God. In order to call God your personal Father you must have a relationship with Him. We have been sealed by the blood of Jesus and have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is in this relationship that all Christians proclaim God is, “Father of us all.” Since God is Father of us all who profess Jesus as Lord and Savior then we are brothers and sisters of one another. We are charged with loving each other, watching over, and protecting each other. We are responsible for one another’s faith and growth in Jesus Christ. When we dismiss the work of God then we are disrespecting God just as if we were to disrespect our own earthly parents. How many of us would get away with treating our parents the way that we treat God? Yet God is the Father of us all and holds the keys of life and death for each of us and still we demand that God understand when we disrespect and ignore Him and His commandments. Paul pleads in 2 Corinthians put things in order, to keep things in the ready. Our fathers did this by ensuring that we their children had a place to grow, to receive the Word of God in. Their dreams for us were that we would desire to know God as they knew God. They wanted us to burn with the desire to work in the will of God, to build churches, to grow the church and to expand the kingdom of God. We know this because of the witness that they left for us. They knocked on doors, invited neighbors, friends and strangers to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Nothing we have would be here if it wasn’t for God working in and through them. They showed respect to God, to the word of God, to their parents, and their desire to do God’s will. Can we do any less?
