God is so faithful and Im still in awe of what has transpired this week. This will be a long post (God moments like these are meant to be shared! :) ) As some of you are aware, Macoy has been feeling very overwhelmed with the amount of information hes been learning thus far in sixth grade and at home has been having melt downs and frustration. (ok Ill admit it, momma too ;) ) We love his current school, ccs and the Christ centered curriculum and love received from staff and teachers. But we have felt there has got to be a better fit for Macoy that will be able to meet his needs and tailor his work according to his strengths and needs and help him to develop life skills through occupational therapy etc. So a little back story, Im in the Middle of a study on the attributes of God (God as He longs for you to see him) and this weeks study is on Gods wisdom. This study is exactly what I needed! Monday evening, (after 3 hours of greuling homework with Macoy) I was extremely emotional. So i opened up my study to hear from God to rest in him and let his word bring peace to my mind and heart. Oh man!! I just couldnt contain myself. I bawled through the entire chapter! God was speaking right to my heart and circumstances weve been facing. One of the Key verses that stood out to me was James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. So that night, I earnestly sought God in prayer asking for Wisdom concerning Macoy. I asked Him to pave the way and show us how we could better equip Macoy to nurture his strengths, gifts and abilities so He can have the best fighting chance in life. Well, the very next morning (yesterday) we received a phone call from Spectrum Academy telling us a spot had opened in the sixth grade and Macoy was chosen. (we applied in the summer) WOW! WOW!WOW! Spectrum Academy is a charter school that is tailored to meet the needs of children with high functioning autism and Aspergers! We were completely in awe of Gods provision. This is a highly sought after school where families from all over the nation are relocating here to give there ASD children hope for a brighter future. So today we went and had a tour and it completely blew us away and exceeded our expectations!!! The entire tour all three of us were grinning ear to ear. Every question we had was addressed to the minute detail and then some. I am so thankful to the Lord for hearing my cries and answering prayer in such an unbelievable way! (just to knock my socks off!) My heart is full of hope! Our God is an awesome God and deserves our praise!!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!! (Prayers during this transitional period will be greatly appreciated! :) )
