When We Will Not Be Silent invited us to protest in Ferguson Chad and I wanted to head over there to work on a documentary that we wanted to callFind The Love In Ferguson. The plan was to interview both sides, the people and the police and let them share about their love for their city along with sharing the work of our children. When police officers would not respond to a simple good morning, good afternoon or good evening, after 10 cops hands on weapon rushed in one neighborhood responding to a simple domestic dispute, after undercover police infiltrated the protestors in order to divide them...after all this happened within a day, We knew our naive initial plan had to turn into this. Thank you all for sharing. Remember, every community is predominantly ignorant of what they have not been subjected to. The people of Ferguson have been going through a great deal of oppression that only a few outside of this community know about. They need our help and our support. They need to know that we believe their lives matter. Dont redirect your entire attention on what is happening right now, rather focus on what led to this. Show compassion.
